Planned demonstrations & rallies expected on 5/1.
Tuesday, May 1, celebrated as International Worker’s Day, a number of planned demonstrations and rallies are expected to significantly impact transit and traffic around the city throughout the day. Please plan ahead for delays due to larger than normal crowds along demonstration routes and potential traffic disruptions. Also worth noting, the Mariners will also be hosting a game at Safeco Field at 7:10 PM with about 15,000 people expected to attend so normal game day traffic can be expected.

On Tuesday, May 1, you can expect at least the following permitted demonstrations:
Annual May Day March for Workers and Immigrant Rights:
11 AM Rally at Judkins Park followed by a 2:30 – 4 PM march from Judkins Park to 2nd Avenue and Spring Street.
Marchers will leave Judkins Park located at 20th Avenue S and S Dearborn Street and travel north on 20th Avenue to S Jackson Street; west on S Jackson Street to 4th Avenue; north on 4th Avenue to Madison Street; west on Madison Street to 2nd Avenue; north on 2nd Avenue ending at Spring Street.
