SDOT is advising travelers that 6th Ave will close between Madison St and Marion St from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. SDOT would like to thank the public for its patience while this work is being completed.
The closure will allow crews on the 6th Ave Paving Project to de-energize King County Metro trolley lines, allowing space to complete work on the NW curb ramp at 6th Ave and Marion St. This work is weather dependent and subject to change. Please note this advisory includes the most updated work schedule.
On Thursday, April 12, travelers can expect:
- 6th Ave to be closed to all vehicular traffic except for buses, between Madison St and Marion St from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- No local access during work hours
- Uniformed police officers will be on-site to direct traffic and signed detours will be in place.
