SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening in the city that may affect traffic. Radiohead will be in concert at KeyArena on Saturday night. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will reduce eastbound I-90 to one lane between Seattle and Bellevue from Friday night to Monday morning; traffic will be detoured to the express lanes. The Mariners home opener at Safeco Field is on Monday afternoon.
FRIDAY, APRIL 7 – SUNDAY, APRIL 9:
Shen Yun: Classical Chinese dance and music at McCall Hall. Performances on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. About 2,900 people are expected for each performance.
SATURDAY, APRIL 8:
Seattle Magazine Brunch Run: A 5K run through Magnuson Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. About 500 people are expected to attend.
SODO Flea Market: On Occidental Ave S and S Forest St from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. About 2,000 people are expected throughout the day.
Monster Energy Supercross: At CenturyLink Field. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., main event at 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. About 45,000 people are expected to attend.
Radiohead Concert: At KeyArena starts at 7:30 p.m. About 12,500 people are expected to attend.
SUNDAY, APRIL 9:
Walk MS/Run MS: A 5K run starts at 8 a.m. from the University of Washington to Gasworks Park and back. A 5.5 mile walk starts at 10 a.m. About 3,500 people are expected to attend.
MONDAY, APRIL 10:
Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros: Mariners 2017 home opener at Safeco Field at 2:10 p.m. About 47,000 people are expected to attend. Go M’s!
