SDOT is advising travelers to be aware of several events happening around the city through the weekend that will affect area traffic. Florence and the Machine play KeyArena tonight. Seattle Sounders FC plays LA Wednesday night and CenturyLink. WSDOT will close the Alaskan Way Viaduct for inspection on Saturday and Sunday. The UW Huskies play Arizona on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st at 8 p.m. at Huskies Stadium.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27th:
FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE: The concert at KeyArena starts at 8 p.m. About 8,000 people are expected to attend.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28th:
SEATTLE SOUNDERS AT CENTURYLINK FIELD:
The Sounders FC vs. LA Galaxy on Wednesday on October 28th, 2015 at 7p.m. in the 2015 MLS Cup playoffs. About 40,000 people are expected to attend.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th:
MAGNOLIA VILLAGE HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT: A Halloween party in the village with local businesses providing treats from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. W McGraw Street will be closed between 32nd and 34th Avenues West for the event. About 955 people are expected to attend.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31th:
The Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed during daytime hours on Halloween weekend for a semiannual WSDOT inspection. Both directions of State Route 99 will close between South Spokane Street and the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1.
UW HUSKIES AT HUSKY STADIUM
Huskies vs. Arizona on Saturday, October 31st, 2015. Kick off at 8 p.m. About 70,000 people expected to attend.
TROLLOWEEN/TROLL-A-GOGO: A birthday party for the Fremont Troll with performances and music starting at 7 p.m. on Troll Avenue N. Starting at 8 p.m. the Haunt of Fremont procession heads south on Troll Avenue N, west on N 34th Street, and north on Evanston Avenue N ending at the Doric Hall on N 36th Street where fun-raising festivities continue. About 450 people are expected to attend.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1st:
NORTHWEST SCHOOL UPPER SHOOL OPEN HOUSE: Prospective students are invited to visit between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Crawford Place will be closed between E Pike and E Union Streets from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. About 550 people are expected to attend.
