New pavement is coming to an area on the westbound, curbside lane of East Madison Street near 27th Avenue East where buses approach the bus stop. Crews from the Seattle Department of Transportation will work at this location on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
One general traffic lane will remain open in each direction on East Madison Street and police officers will be present to keep traffic moving. The sidewalk on the north side of the street will be closed and pedestrians will be detoured. Drivers should allow extra time for their trips due to congestion in this area.
