Seattle Department of Transportation crews will grind and pave West Galer Street from Queen Anne Avenue North to Second Avenue West this weekend, Aug.1 – 2, if the weather is favorable. The crews plan to work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Galer will remain open to eastbound traffic, but drivers traveling westbound will follow detour signs leading them north on Queen Anne Avenue and onto West McGraw Street to continue westward. Sidewalks will remain open. Police officers will be on-site to assist pedestrians to cross the street and to help keep traffic moving.
This project is part of the 2015 Arterial Major Maintenance program which aims to maintain busy streets with strategic small-scale pavement repairs.
