SDOT is advising travelers to be aware of events happening around the city through the weekend that will add to area traffic. The Day of Actions Rallies and March begins at 2 p.m. today at Occidental Park will continue to various locations, traffic delays are likely. There is a KeyArena concert tonight, and Swan Lake ballet performances at McCaw Hall Thursday through the weekend that will add to area traffic. The Mariners play the Rangers Friday through Sunday at Safeco Field, Go M’s!
DAY OF ACTION RALLIES AND MARCH:
There is a demonstration and a march against the low-wage economy today. The rally begins in Occidental Park at 2 p.m. followed by a march to Cal Anderson Park and ends with a rally at Seattle University at approximately 4pm. The march starts eastbound on S Washington Street to 2ndAvenue S, south to Main Street, east to 4th Avenue S, then northbound on 4thAvenue to Westlake Park. The march then runs eastbound on Pine Street, southbound on 5thAvenue, eastbound on Pike Street to 10th Avenue, north on 10th Avenue to E Pike Street, east on Pike to 11thAvenue. At 11th and E Pine, the march pauses to gather marchers from Cal Anderson, the march then proceeds southbound on 11thAvenue to E Pike, east to 12thAvenue, then southbound on 12thAvenue to Seattle University.
