The Seattle Department of Transportation advises travelers of the full closure of Taylor Avenue North between Mercer and Roy streets, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, beginning Monday, Dec. 15 and continuing through Friday, Dec. 19 to accommodate concrete pours. Travelers can expect the following impacts:
- Turns to and from Mercer Street at Taylor Avenue North will be prohibited.
- Travelers from Queen Anne should use Fifth Avenue North to access Mercer Street.
- Local access to businesses on Taylor Avenue North between Mercer and Roy streets will be maintained from Roy Street.
Following this work, Taylor Avenue North will continue to be restricted to southbound travel only as crews complete work in the roadway. Please note this work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled.
Update: Lane restrictions on Fifth Avenue North
Northbound and southbound Fifth Avenue N will continue to have intermittent lane restrictions to accommodate electrical and sidewalk improvements through early next year. Please note the boundaries of this restriction are shifting south and are now located between Mercer and Thomas streets. These lane restrictions will continue to occur intermittently on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane in each direction on Fifth Avenue North will remain open at all times.
Thank you for your patience as construction continues. More information about alternate routes during Mercer Corridor construction may be found at: http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/mercercorridor.htm.
