There are several events to keep in mind this week as you plan your travel routes.
The Mariners play at Safeco Field Monday through Friday starting at 7:10 p.m. each day, except Wednesday when the game starts at 12:40 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday the games will start at 1:10 p.m. Expect congestion near the stadiums before and after these games.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, President Obama will visit Seattle for a fundraising event. There may be temporary street closures between noon and 8 p.m. while the Presidential motorcade moves through the city.
The Greenwood Seafair Parade will take place on Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. Staging begins at 4 p.m. on Greenwood Avenue North between North 95th Street and North 105th Street. The parade will start at Greenwood and North 95th Street, head south on Greenwood to North 85th Street, then turn west on 85th and continue to Sixth Avenue Northwest.
Looking ahead, the weekend will be filled with special events. Those expected to have the greatest impact on traffic are the Seattle Torchlight Parade, The Capitol Hill Block Party, and Pista Sa Nyon at Seward Park.
