The Montlake Bridge will be closed on Sunday, March 30 from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. for filming activity. All traffic including pedestrians and bicyclists will be redirected to the University Bridge. The westbound SR520 off-ramp to Montlake Boulevard East will also be closed.
The bridge will also be closed for brief periods intermittently during the day, but these will require no detours.
During the morning closure, traffic coming from the south on 24th Avenue East will be detoured to the University Bridge by way of Boyer Avenue East. Traffic from the north will be detoured to the University Bridge using Northeast 45th Street and Roosevelt Way Northeast.
Streets south of Northeast 45th Street and north of Boyer will remain accessible to local traffic as far as the Montlake Bridge.
The commercial filming is part of the City of Seattle’s Commercialize Seattle initiative to attract high wage commercial film work to the region.
