We’ll be seeing plenty of green this coming weekend with a mix of St. Patrick’s Day events including a Lucky Electronic Music Festival Friday night at CenturyLink Field; the Laying of the Green Stripe Friday night along Fourth Avenue though downtown in preparation for the Saturday morning St Patrick’s Day Parade; the arade Saturday morning; numerous Irish Cultural Festival events throughout the weekend at the Seattle Center and many local Irish pubs will feature their own green beer celebrations. In addition, there’s the huge St Pat’s Dash on Sunday morning which closes Aurora Avenue between the Alaskan Way Viaduct Western off-ramp and N 38th Street. Also on Saturday afternoon, there will be a march for the green – “March for $15 on March 15”; and, of course, thousands of green scarves will be waving as the Sounders take to CenturyLink Field against the Toronto FC.
