There will be a temporary detour on Lake Washington Boulevard S from 43rd Avenue S to Lake Park Drive S today as of now through 2 p.m. while a Parks Department crew removes hazardous tree at S Horton Street. The boulevard will be closed to cars, but pedestrians and cyclists can carefully use the sidewalk. S Horton St is the only cross street in this stretch and it will also be closed. Detour and warning signs as well as staff will redirect traffic. The tree is a large cedar growing at a dangerous angle over the boulevard just south of S Horton Street.
