The southbound I-5 Forest Street off-ramp will be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday, March 1, to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 2. During the closure, Seattle Department of Transportation crews will grind down and pave South Forest Street from the off-ramp to Sixth Avenue South.
A detour will be in place sending motorists to the next exit, South Spokane Street, then west on Spokane to the First Avenue South off- ramp where they can head north on First.
There will be no on-street parking in the area 300 feet north and south of the Forest off- ramp starting Friday night, until the work has been completed Sunday evening.
All sidewalks and crosswalks on Forest to Sixth Avenue S will remain open during the day.
The work was originally scheduled for last weekend but was canceled and rescheduled to this weekend when better weather conditions are expected.
