The southbound lanes of Ninth Avenue North between Mercer and Republican streets are currently closed, and the signal at the intersection of Ninth Avenue North and Mercer Street is in flash mode while crews work to repair the southern signal arm, which was damaged by a vehicle earlier today. Uniformed police officers are directing traffic until repairs are completed later this evening. Travelers heading south on Ninth Avenue North will be diverted left onto eastbound Mercer Street to continue south on Westlake Avenue North. Right turns onto westbound Mercer Street will be permitted. Travelers should expect potential delays and use Westlake Avenue North and other alternate routes when available.
