Thursday, December 5, at 11:30 a.m. approximately 100 Fast Food Workers will take part in a march from the south city limits to City Hall. Seattle Police will escort the march that will use the right curb lane for much of the way.
Starting at the Boeing Access Road the marchers will head north in the far right lane on Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Way to S Graham Street; eastbound on S Graham to 39th Avenue S; northbound on 39th (stopping for lunch at the northwest corner of Brighton Playfield); westbound on S Juneau Street to MLK Jr. Way; at Rainer Avenue St the marchers will take the pedestrian bridge to cross over to the western sidewalk; then northbound on Rainer Avenue S on the sidewalk to S Bayview Street. Then eastbound in the far right lane of Rainier Avenue S to S Jackson Street; westbound on S Jackson to Fourth Avenue; northbound on Fourth Avenue to the City Hall Plaza. Motorists should plan on possible delays as there will likely be a rolling slowdown as the march moves along in traffic.
