SDOT paving crews will repair two sidewalks in northeast Seattle in October, one on Northeast Pacific Street and one on Roosevelt Way Northeast.
The first project is on the south side of Northeast Pacific Street between Northeast Boat Street and Brooklyn Avenue. This work is scheduled to begin Oct. 2 and to be finished by the middle of the month if weather permits. Pedestrians and cyclists will be detoured to the sidewalk on the north side of the street. The Burke Gilman Trail may also be used as a detour.
For the second project, crews will make spot repairs to the sidewalk in the 6200 block of Roosevelt Way Northeast, also in October. Access to businesses will be maintained. At this time the plan is to protect all of the SDOT street trees at this location; however, if SDOT’s Urban Forestry staff decides that some of the trees need to be removed, crews will plant two new trees for every tree taken out.
