One of the last weekends of summer activities in Seattle, August 23 – 25, features the Seattle Marathon 10 K Race, the Alki Beach Run and the Slut Walk of Seattle 2013. Also of note, the Seattle Sounders will face off the Portland Timbers before a sold-out crowd at CenturyLink Field on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. Motorists may encounter heavier traffic associated with these and other events so plan ahead to avoid delays. Race participants will use streets and the Burke-Gilman Trail in the Wallingford, Fremont, and Ballard neighborhoods.
