The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) advises travelers of lane closures on eastbound Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North beginning Thursday, May 16 through Friday, May 17 as crews remove a barrier on the SR 99 overhead bridge structure. Two lanes on Mercer Street and the adjacent sidewalk will be closed at a time with work occurring between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Two lanes on eastbound Mercer Street and one sidewalk will remain open at all times.
Also, SR 99 and Mercer Street will be fully closed to traffic beginning Friday, May 17, at 11 p.m. through Monday, May 20, at 5 a.m. During the closures, SR 99 will be fully closed between Valley Street and the southern end of the Battery Street Tunnel.
