The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) advises travelers of intermittent lane restrictions in the Mercer Corridor Project area beginning as early as Thursday, March 14, through Friday, March 22 when the department will add the latest visible enhancements in that area of the corridor – landscaping and a pole for mounting a Dynamic Messaging Sign (DMS) which will provide travel time estimates and other information.
Westbound Mercer Street will have a single lane restricted between Boren Avenue N and Terry Avenue N as crews install a dynamic messaging sign above the roadway. The far left lane of westbound Mercer Street will be restricted during off-peak hours from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Eastbound Mercer Street will have a single lane restricted between8th Avenue N and Westlake Avenue N as crew repair a signal mast-arm on the southeast corner of Mercer Street and 9th Avenue N on Thursday, March 21 or Friday, March 22. The far right lane of eastbound Mercer Street will be restricted during off-peak hours from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Fairview Avenue N will have intermittent curb lane restrictions between Mercer and Harrison Streets as crews complete electrical pole foundation work and landscaping installation. Lane restrictions will occur on both north and southbound lanes on Fairview Avenue N during off-peak hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
