Saturday, February 16, the nine-day Seattle Home Show gets underway at CenturyLink Field. The first home show, held in 1939, was commissioned by FDR as a “Back to Work Event” to counter the Great Depression. The event is expected to pull in 25,000 attendees over the coming week, with heaviest attendance expected on the weekend days. The Tet Festival will draw thousands to celebrate the Vietnamese Lunar New Year at the Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday.
