This Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19 and 20, traffic will be reduced to one lane on South Jackson Street at 10th Avenue South to facilitate construction of the First Hill Streetcar. Flaggers and uniformed police officers will be posted to assist with two-way traffic through this area. The lane closures will begin each day at 7 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m.
Local access, pedestrian access, and access to businesses will be maintained during this work.
The City of Seattle is developing the First Hill Streetcar in partnership with Sound Transit, with funding provided through the 2008 voter approved Sound Transit 2 (ST2) transit expansion plan. Completion is planned for spring 2014.
