Upcoming traffic revisions beginning Monday, January 14
The Seattle Department of Transportation advises travelers of the following activities in the Mercer Corridor Project area beginning Monday, January 14:
Lane restrictions on eastbound Mercer Street beginning Monday, January 14:
Lane restrictions on eastbound Mercer Street will begin on Monday January 14 and continue for approximately two weeks to accommodate installation of new signal poles and mast arms at the intersection of Mercer Street and Fairview Avenue N. Two eastbound lanes on Mercer Street will remain open to traffic between Terry Avenue N and Fairview Avenue N. Work will occur on weekdays during non-peak traffic hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Vehicles will be routed around the work zone and Seattle police will be positioned to facilitate traffic flow.
Nighttime lane restrictions on Valley Street and Terry Avenue North on Tuesday, January 15:
Valley Street and Terry Avenue North will have nighttime lane restrictions the evening of January 15 to accommodate underground water main work. Westbound Valley Street will be restricted to one lane between Boren Avenue N and Westlake Avenue N while crews work in the center lane. Additionally, Terry Avenue N will be restricted to southbound traffic only between Valley Street and Mercer Street while crews work on the east side of the roadway.
Nighttime lane restrictions will be from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Flaggers will be positioned to maintain traffic flow and assist vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the work zone.
