Motorists traveling in Seattle this weekend may want to plan their routes to avoid several organized walks or marches—on Saturday in the downtown and First Hill areas, and on Sunday in the University District.
On Sunday evening, thousands of spectators will make their way to CenturyLink Field in the SODO area to see the Seattle Sounders battle FC Dallas at major league soccer. To get to the game by public transit, check out the schedules of Metro Transit or Sound Transit.
State Route 520 will be closed around the clock this weekend from Friday at 11 p.m., reopening no later than noon on Sunday.

The 5k route will exit Seattle Center grounds at 2nd Avenue N and Mercer Street; head east on Mercer to 5th Avenue N, south on 5th to Cedar Street, west on Cedar to 2nd Avenue, south on 2nd to Spring, make a u-turn at Spring, and return north on 2nd onto Seattle Center grounds.
The 1 mile route will exit the Seattle Center grounds at 2nd and Mercer Street, continue east on Mercer to 5th Ave N, south on 5th to Harrison Street, west on Harrison onto the Seattle Center grounds.

Stand Up for Religious Freedom March:

The march will travel north from St. James Cathedral on 9th Avenue; turn west on Madison Street, north on 8th Avenue and west on Stewart Street to the US Courthouse at 7th Avenue. Police will escort the march.

The 10k route will also exit the campus at NE 45th Street and 17th Avenue NE, head north on 17th to NE Ravenna Boulevard, west on Ravenna to 15th Avenue NE, north on 15th to NE 62n Street, east on 62nd to 20th Avenue NE, south on 20th into Ravenna Park; south through the park to NE 55th Street and Ravenna Place NE, south on Ravenna onto the Burke Gilman Trail; south and west on Burke Gilman Trail to 15th Avenue NE and NE Pacific Street; north on 15th NE to NE 40th Street and east on 40th Street to return to the campus.
