The number of traffic impacts related to the Spokane Street Viaduct Widening Project continues to shrink as the project moves ever closer to completion.
As previously reported, the last segment of project roadway still closed to motorists is westbound lower S Spokane Street. This segment is expected to reopen no later than the end of October, although a section of it may reopen earlier.
The other project related traffic impacts expected in the coming days are outlined below.
- First Avenue S at S Spokane Street will be subject to intermittent lane closures in the non-peak direction Monday – Friday, through October 19, daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in order to complete the construction and activation of a new signal system at the intersection.
- Fourth Avenue S at S Spokane Street – Crews are working in the median on the south side of Spokane Street. No lane closures will be needed.
