The previously announced closure of the westbound off-ramp from the Spokane Street Viaduct to First Avenue S has been shifted from early Thursday morning, October 4, to Saturday, October 6. The off-ramp will be closed Saturday morning from 3 a.m. until 9 a.m.
During the closure period, motorists heading southbound on I-5 who wish to exit to SODO are encouraged to instead take the S Forest Street exit from I-5. Motorists heading northbound on I-5 who wish to exit in SODO are encouraged to instead take the Sixth Avenue S off-ramp from I-5.
The Spokane Street Viaduct Widening Project is nearing completion after some three years of construction, which means remaining roadway or lane closures are likely to be limited in duration and impact to motorists.
