The Seattle Department of Transportation will start work September 4th on a new sidewalk on the south side of South Orcas Street between 28th Avenue South and 32nd Avenue South in Southeast Seattle. During this work, South Orcas Street will be closed to eastbound traffic between Beacon Avenue South and 32nd Avenue South, 24 hours a day. The sidewalk on the north side of the street will remain open. The expected completion date is October 31.
