The Seattle Department of Transportation and Seattle City Light continue to work on their joint lighting installation project on the Ballard Bridge. The right, northbound lane of the Ballard Bridge is being closed daily through the end of this week starting as early as 7 a.m. and reopening to traffic by 2:30 p.m. while new light poles are being installed on the east side of the bridge. The southbound curb lane will be closed tomorrow for one to two hours during the non-peak traffic prior to 2:30 p.m. The lane closure is necessary in order for the crew to pour the concrete bases for two light poles on the west side of the bridge. No lane closures for the lighting upgrade project are planned for the Labor Day weekend.
