The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) advises travelers of upcoming lane restrictions on Fairview Avenue N to accommodate underground utility work. The following traffic restrictions will be implemented in August:
August 7: Nighttime lane restrictions on Fairview Avenue N
One northbound lane of Fairview Avenue N between Republican Street and Mercer Street will be restricted the evening of August 7 to accommodate underground utility work. One northbound lane of Fairview Avenue N will remain open at all times. Night work will be from 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Please note this work is anticipated to take one night to complete but may extend to an additional evening if needed.
August 13- 24: Lane restrictions on southbound Fairview Avenue N
Fairview Avenue N will have one southbound lane restricted between Aloha Street and Valley Street to accommodate underground electrical work for approximately two weeks. Travelers can expect:
- One southbound lane of Fairview Avenue N restricted 24 hours a day between Aloha Street and Valley Street
- One southbound lane of Fairview Avenue N remaining open at all times
- Access maintained to businesses located in Chandler’s Cove
