On Saturday, July 28, the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) along with its Contractor, CA Carey, will be installing new signal heads at the intersection of E Greenlake Way N and N 46th Street as part of the NW Market St/N 45th Street Transit Priority Corridor Improvement Project.
This work will require the traffic signals at the intersection to be taken off – line. To keep traffic moving, Seattle Police Officers and flaggers will be direct motorists at strategic locations. Work hours on Saturday will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Concurrently, crews will take advantage of the Metro trolley lines being de-energized and prune branches on a few of the large trees on N 46th going eastbound from E. Greenlake Way.
Local access will be maintained throughout the day. Pedestrians, cyclists and drivers are advised to use caution and expect delays and increased congestion.
