Traffic Advisory
Drivers using north and southbound SR 99 at the Aurora Avenue Bridge will see single lane closures this week as crews continue seismic work on the south (Queen Anne) side of the George Washington Memorial Bridge.
- Crews will close a single lane of northbound SR 99 between Halladay Street and the bridge from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 through Friday, June 29. Halladay Street and the driveway to Canlis will remain open.
- Crews will close a single lane of southbound SR 99 at Raye Street for several hundred feet between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. Raye Street will remain open.
- Crews will close one lane of 6th Avenue North under the bridge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. Traffic will alternate in each direction.
The work is part of the Aurora Avenue Seismic Retrofit project to help the bridge better withstand earthquakes.
