Crews from the Seattle Department of Transportation will make spot pavement repairs on the southbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North on Saturday, June 16, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will close two of the southbound lanes, leaving only the inside, southbound lane open, along the western side of Lake Union, from Raye Street to Harrison Street, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.
This badly needed repair work is being done when the Alaskan Way Viaduct is closed, and during the weekend, when traffic volumes are lower. The work is noisy, so the crews are not working at night.
