Monday, June 4, crews working on the Seattle Department of Transportation’s (SDOT) project to repave N.E. Ravenna Blvd. between E. Green Lake Dr. N. and 15th Ave. N.E. will begin paving work on eastbound N.E. Ravenna Blvd. from N.E. 65th St. to 15th Ave. N.E.
Crews will pave across the I-5 on- and off-ramps overnight on June 4. To complete this work, starting at 10 p.m. on June 4 crews will close:
- the on-ramp to southbound I-5 from NE Ravenna Blvd.,
- the N.E. 50th St. on-ramp to northbound I-5 and
- the NE 65th off-ramp from northbound I-5.
The ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. on June 5.
Crews will continue paving during the day on June 5 through June 8. The I-5 ramps will be open for this work, but expect street closures and parking restrictions on N.E. Ravenna Blvd. between 8th Ave. N.E. and 15th Ave. N.E. from 7a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Paving is weather dependent, so if it’s rainy, this work may be rescheduled for the week of June 11.
To minimize construction impacts, work is divided into two phases. Phase One, now completed, is on N.E. Ravenna Blvd. between Green Lake and I-5 (from E. Green Lake Dr. N. to 8th Ave. N.E.). Phase Two is on N.E. Ravenna Blvd. starting at NE 65th to 15th Ave. N.E. (from 8th Ave. N.E. to 15th Ave N.E.). The project is expected to be completed by the end of summer.
