April 26, 2012The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) advises travelers of nighttime closures in the Mercer Corridor Project area from April 30 to May 3:
Fairview Avenue N and Valley Street nighttime lane closures
Fairview Avenue N and Valley Street will have nighttime lane closures from April 30 – May 1. One northbound turn lane from the Mercer Street off-ramps onto Fairview Avenue N will be closed during this time. Traffic turning left from Fairview Avenue N onto Valley Street will be restricted to one lane as crews install an underground dewatering pipe across Valley Street at Boren Avenue N. One westbound lane and one eastbound lane will remain open on Valley Street. Night work will occur between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Westbound Broad Street nighttime closures
Westbound Broad Street between 9th Avenue N and Westlake Avenue N will be closed at night from May 2 – May 3. Night work will occur between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to accommodate underground communication line installations across Broad Street.
Travelers heading west on Valley Street towards Seattle Center will be detoured north on Westlake Avenue N to 8th Avenue N and then south on 9th Avenue N to reconnect with westbound Broad Street.
