One northbound lane of Westlake Avenue North will be closed near the south end of the Fremont Bridge (around Halladay Street) on Sunday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to no later than 5 p.m. The closure will allow volunteers to work safely for an Earth Day event.
Approximately 360 volunteers will participate in the fourth year of “Earth Gay” by continuing restoration of the Cheshiahud Trail that circles the lake. They will pull weeds, remove invasive vegetation, lay mulch and perform other tasks to improve this part of the trail.
