Drivers heading north across the First Avenue South Bridge into Seattle on Saturday, March 31 should prepare for lane closures and possible delays.
Bridge maintenance crews will close two lanes at a time across the northbound span. During the lane closures they will install a new metal plate on the bridge deck and connect a rebuilt ballast pump.
Northbound closure details:
- The two right lanes across the drawspan close from 7 a.m. to noon. The exit to South Michigan Street will remain open.
- The two left lanes close from noon to 2 p.m.
The southbound bridge is not affected by this work.
