Paving crews from the Seattle Department of Transportation plan several paving jobs in South Seattle next week. This work requires favorable weather, and the schedule is subject to change, depending on weather conditions.
For all of these projects, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction of travel, and on-street parking will be restricted. All crosswalks and sidewalks will remain open.
Starting early next week, SDOT crews plan to work on Rainier Avenue South from Cornell Avenue South to 72nd Avenue South, near the southeastern city limits, working from 7a.m. to 5p.m. Bicycles will merge with general traffic.
Toward the end of the week, the crews plan to pave South Othello Street from 37th Avenue South to Martin Luther King, Jr. Way South, working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During the weekend of March 24 and 25, crews plan to pave South Myrtle Street from Beacon Avenue South to 38th Avenue South, working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Trolley deactivation has been requested.
