Over the next two days, Friday and Saturday, February 10 and 11, hundreds of people will be taking the Polar Plunge in Lake Union to raise funds for the Special Olympics, thousands of runners will brave the cold and race around Green Lake in the Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentines 5K. Yet another group of runners will participate in Cupid’s Undie Run to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Friday, February 10:
Seattle Symphony Friday Matinee Concert: 12:00 Noon – 2:30 pm
Benaroya Hall

Traffic may be congested in the area, particularly on University Street between Second and Third avenues when six school buses will drop off and pick up students attending concert at Benaroya Hall.
Super Polar Plunge for Special Olympics: Over 10 hour period
South Lake Union Park and in Lake Union

Traffic may be congested near the south end of Lake Union.
Saturday, February 11
Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentines 5K: 8:30 a.m., race 9:30 a.m.
Adjacent to the Aqua Theatre on W Green Lake Way N
3,000 participants
Participants will gather on W Green Lake Way N between E Green Lake Way N and N 63rd Street
Run Route moves clockwise around Green Lake: starts adjacent to the Aqua Theater; west on W. Green Lake Way N. to Aurora Ave. N and onto the Green Lake trail; off trail and onto W. Green Lake Drive N; east on W Green Lake Drive N to E. Green Lake Drive N; east to E Green Lake Way N; south on E Green Lake Way N to approximately Kenwood Place N; west onto Green Lake trail and finish at Aqua Theater.
Cupid’s Undie Run for Children’s Tumor Foundation: 2 p.m.
The Ballroom in Fremont
1.5-mile run starts at Ballroom (456 N 36th )goes East on N 36th, south on Stone, west on 34th to Aurora; south on Aurora to where it jogs west, then west on Canal Street to Phinney Avenue N; N on Phinney to N 36th, east on N 36 back to The Ballroom. Runners are not scheduled to be running in roadway, but will likely cause a distraction for motorists.

Traffic will likely be congested at the south end of Lake Union along Valley Street.
Monday, February 13
Port Driver Solidarity Action Rally: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Gather in space north of Spokane Street and east of Harbor Island.
530 participants
Police will be present, but motorists could encounter traffic congestion on the Spokane Street corridor and may want to avoid the area to avoid delay.
