Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) paving crews plan to work on Alaskan Way at Yesler Way by the ferry terminal on Saturday, November 19, from 7:30 p.m. (Saturday) to 5 a.m. (Sunday).
General traffic will be detoured to First Avenue at Marion Street and at Royal Brougham. Access to the ferry terminal will be maintained. Traffic will leave the terminal using Marion or Columbia streets and continue to First Avenue. Northbound traffic on Alaskan Way will reach the ferry toll plaza using the Yesler Way entrance. Police officers will assist traffic. The street will remain open to bicyclists and pedestrians.
SDOT crews will fill in a dip in the road at this location and even out the surface. The goal is to minimize ponding and settlement of the roadway.
Please note: The Washington State Department of Transportation is also working in this general area.
