The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is making street improvements on Fourth Avenue South in the Georgetown neighborhood.
Beginning on October 18 at 7 a.m. and continuing around the clock until October 21 at 7 a.m., lanes will be closed on Fourth Avenue South just north of East Marginal Way South for concrete paving. This schedule includes time for the concrete to cure.
A minimum of one lane in each direction will be maintained on Fourth Avenue South at all times. Uniformed police officers will be on hand to maintain traffic flow. Local access, pedestrian access, and access to businesses will be maintained during this work.
All lanes on Fourth Avenue South will be reopened before the Alaskan Way Viaduct closure in the evening October 21.
This work is funded by the “Bridging the Gap” transportation levy approved by Seattle voters in November 2006.
