The Seattle Department of Transportation advises travelers that beginning as early as Tuesday, July 5, Mercer Street between Fairview Avenue N and Minor Avenue N will be closed for two to three months while crews install underground electrical and communications lines.
Eastbound Mercer Street traffic traveling to Eastlake Avenue E and Capitol Hill can use Fairview Avenue N and Republican Street to navigate around the closure. Please note the intersection of Minor Avenue N and Mercer Street will experience intermittent closures to accommodate utility installations crossing Minor.
Work is scheduled during weekdays, but the road closure will remain in place at all times during this work. Nighttime and weekend work may occur if needed.
