A contractor working for SDOT will begin paving the week of May 9th on the following streets in the Georgetown neighborhood:
• East Marginal Way South from Fourth Avenue South to Ellis Avenue South
• Ellis Avenue South from East Marginal Way South to South Albro Place
• South Albro Place from Ellis Avenue South to Stanley Ave South
Drivers should expect traffic lane closures and detours, as well as parking and load zone restrictions.
East Marginal Way South will be reduced to one lane in each direction except during afternoon peak commuting hours. Construction will be completed on East Marginal Way by late June.
On Ellis Avenue South and South Albro Place, there will be one lane open for traffic in each direction during the week, but on occasional weekends there will be intersection closures. There will be at least two weekends when northbound traffic on Ellis Avenue South is detoured. The contractor expects to complete work on Ellis Avenue South and South Albro Place in July.
From late June through September, construction will take place on East Marginal Way South from Ellis Avenue South to the Seattle city limits. Work on Corson Avenue South from E Marginal Way South to South Michigan Street will start when work on Ellis Avenue South and South Albro Place is finished, in July.
