Drivers will see construction in street areas in the Madison Valley neighborhood, on East Madison Street and side streets near Washington Park, as Seattle Public Utilities continues work on a project to improve storm water management.
Starting the week of May 2, crews will work during the day in the parking lanes on East Madison Street in the project area.
During the weeks of May 9 and May 16, work will also take place at night on East Madison Street between 29th Avenue East and Lake Washington Boulevard, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
One lane for each direction of traffic on Madison Street will remain open during the construction.
The overall project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
