The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will host an open house to provide an update on the final design for improving Linden Avenue North:
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Bitter Lake Community Center
13035 Linden Avenue North
Project staff from the Seattle Department of Transportation will present design plans for enhancing Linden Avenue North from North 128th Street to North 145th Street for review and comment by the community.
In accordance with Mayor McGinn’s Walk Bike Ride initiative and the City of Seattle’s Complete Streets Policy, the 17-block project includes reshaping the street with pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements, completing the missing portion of the Interurban Trail, and enhancing drainage. Access and parking will be consolidated, utilities will be upgraded, and street trees, landscaping, and lighting will be added. Construction is expected to get underway by early January 2012 and be completed in early 2013.
More information about this project can be found on SDOT’s Web site.
