A contractor working for the Seattle Department of Transportation will begin paving two blocks of South Lucile Street, from Maynard Avenue South to Airport Way South, on Thurs, March 31. Paving is expected to take several weeks. The crews will work between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
During the paving operation, there will be rolling closures and frequent lane changes. Traffic flaggers will assist drivers, and motorist should be prepared for disruptions. Repair work near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks will be coordinated with the railroad.
The Lucile Street paving is preliminary work for the “Airport Way South Over ARGO Railroad Yard Rehabilitation and AAC Paving Project” scheduled to begin in May.
