It may be cold out there, but that won’t prevent two marches from taking place tomorrow and the next day.
On Friday, February 25, the “March to Stop Raids and Deportations,” with 300 participants, will head out at 4:30 p.m. from Westlake Park. The marchers will walk west on Pine Street to Second Avenue and then move south to the east side of the 1000 block of Second Avenue. Seattle Police will escort the marchers.
On Saturday, February 26, at 12:30 p.m., more than 400 people will take to the street to “Walk for Choice.” The marchers will assemble at Seattle Central Community College by the corner of E Pine Street and Broadway and then travel west on E Pine to Fourth Avenue and gather at Westlake Park. Seattle Police will escort.
Motorists can expect delays along the march routes.
