This Saturday morning, February 12, more than 3,000 runners of all ages will hit the streets surrounding Green Lake Park when they participate in the Love ’em or Leave ‘em Valentines 5k. This is one of the largest Valentine’s Day dash events in the nation.
Later in the morning at 11 a.m., 500 marchers are expected to make their way from the Seattle Waterfront to the International District to remember the expulsion of Chinese from Seattle in 1886 and to highlight the contributions of Chinese residents.

Staging area closed at 8:30 a.m.: W Green Lake Way N between E. Green Lake Way N and N 63rd Street near the Aqua Theater
Race route: Clockwise around Green Lake starting adjacent to the Aqua Theater; west on W Green Lake Way N to Aurora Avenue N and onto the Green Lake trail; moves off the trail and onto W Green Lake Drive N; east on W Green Lake Drive N to E Green Lake Drive N; east to E Green Lake Way N; south on E Green Lake Way N to approximately Kenwood Place N; west onto Green Lake trail finishing at the Aqua Theater.

Staging begins at 10 a.m. at S Washington Street and Alaskan Way S
March route: Heads east on S Washington Street to Fifth Avenue S; south on Fifth to S King Street; east on King to the Wing Luke Asian Museum at Eighth Avenue S. Along the route there will be brief five to ten minute stops at Third Avenue and Washington Street and at Sixth Avenue and S King Street. Seattle Police will escort.
