Terry Avenue will soon be closed for work on the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) Mercer Corridor Project, and night work will occur in the area.
Terry Avenue North between Valley Street and Mercer Street will be closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for several months starting as early as January 26. The streetcar will continue to operate normally on Terry. The contractor will install upgraded utilities along the north side of Mercer Street and then will begin building the new westbound lanes of Mercer.
Westbound Broad Street will be reduced at night to one lane at Ninth Avenue North from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for approximately a week. SDOT’s contractor will install a temporary storm water pipe needed for the sewer replacement.
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) will be working at night on an independent project on Mercer Street near Boren Avenue North beginning early in February and continuing for about two weeks.
