The contractor working for the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) to widen the Spokane Street Viaduct will reduce East Marginal Way at Spokane Street to a single southbound lane from November 22 through December 3 to form and pour a column in the island adjacent to the existing dedicated westbound right turn lane.
To complete this work, it also will be necessary to implement a series of three-hour closures of the right turn lane from 9 AM to 12 PM on November 22, 23, 26 and 29. During these times, vehicles heading west will execute right turns to the south of the island from the single southbound lane. At all other times between Nov 22 and Dec 3 the dedicated right turn lane will remain open.
