Tomorrow, Thursday, October 14, Japan Dolphin Day, Seattle will be one of many cities participating in a peaceful global protest to call for an end to the annual killing of over 22,000 dolphins and porpoises off the eastern coast of Japan. At least 70 Orca Network and other volunteers are expected to participate in the protest in front of the Japanese Consulate at Sixth Avenue and Union Street (Two Union Square building) from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Motorists may encounter some congestion on 6th Avenue during the lunch time protest. Seattle Police will be on hand.
