Next week Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) paving crews plan to resurface NE 75th Street just east of I-5, from Banner Way NE to Roosevelt Way NE, if the weather is favorable.
The crews will grind off the existing surface on Wednesday and Thursday, September 22 and 23, working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will place new asphalt on Saturday, September 25, working from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also on Saturday, the on-ramp to southbound I-5 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
One lane in each direction on NE 75th will remain open during this project. Police Officers will assist drivers coming from side streets and getting on the I-5 on-ramp. Sidewalks will remain open.
The paving work now scheduled for Saturday, September 25 requires reasonably dry weather, and may be rescheduled if significant rain is forecast.
